Just returned from a magical trip to north Wales, and stayed with Peter Rutherford and his partner, Helen, outside of Caernarfon. They breed and show champion Welsh ponies, and are wonderful and generous people; the opportunity to meet them was more than worth the journey! I’m looking forward to returning for a longer visit, and hope to photograph more of those...

I feel really lucky to be able to spend so much quiet time with these ponies! Starting at several hours after their birth, and watching them grow and learn the ways of PonyWorld with their mothers. They quickly get used to my presence and ignore me, which is wonderful from this artist’s point of view. I learn so much by just watching them.

All is right with the World!
I just returned from another wonderful visit at Tidecreek Welsh pony farm. Tony let the mares into a pasture that was full of new grass. The girls grazed, rolled in, ran around, and sunbathed on, that marvelous lushness.
The sun’s warmth was time slowing down and I felt so lucky to be just hangin’ out in their world.
